SINGAPORE: Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums for August's 2nd bidding was released at the latest tender exercise on Wednesday (21 August).
Premiums for Cat A fell by $389 from $94,289 to $93,900 for smaller cars below 1600cc.
Cat B had also fell slightly by $212 from $106,101 to $105,889. Cat B has remained in the 6-digit figure range consecutively since the 1st bidding in April 2024.
Prices for Cat C goods vehicle & bus increased by $1,300, from $71,100 to $72,400.
Prices for Cat D motorcycles took a slight hit by $291, dropping from $9,601 to $9,310.
Prices for Cat E open category rose slightly by $762, from $105,239 to $106,001.
According to vehicle trader Neo Nam Hen, chairman of diversified motor group Prime, says that prices are likely to remain at the same levels for some time.
He also pointed out that the price range of cars have been quite acceptable for buyers, as number of bids received has exceeded the quota across the board.
For example, for smaller cars, bids received was at 1,314 - which was much higher than the quota at 978.
